Installing AirTOP with a Dongle-Based License Hosted on a Server/Network

Prerequisites

Java version 17 must be installed on a machine running AirTOP 5.1.3 or earlier versions.
Java version 21 must be installed on a machine running AirTOP 5.1.3 or later versions.

Set up a Dongle and install the CodeMeter Runtime 

CodeMeter Control Centre must be installed on both the server hosting the dongle and the user machine running the AirTOP software. You can download from the website: User Software - Wibu-Systems

Dongle options (Steps to execute on the Server)

  • Physical Dongle: Connect the physical dongle provided by Transoft to your server machine.
    Note: A computer must have at least one available USB port to connect the dongle.
     

  • Virtual Dongle: If you are using a software-based virtual dongle, a dongle file will be sent to you via email. You will need to import this file into CodeMeter on the Server. For a detailed step-by-step process, refer to: Import AirTOP Virtual Dongle Instructions – SUPPORT

Configure CodeMeter services

To enable communication between the dongle on the server with the user's machine, ensure that the codeMeter services are correctly configured.

Downloading and Extracting AirTOP Release

  • Download the latest version of AirTOP software from My Transoft portal under the Download Products section.  
     
  • Extract the downloaded file on the user's machine where you want to set up the release directory with all the release files.

Update AirTOP License/Dongle

You can update the AirTOP license in two ways:

  1. Using CodeMeter Control Center. For detailed instructions, refer to: How do I update my AirTOP license file using CodeMeter Control Center? – SUPPORT

  2. Via AirTOP software. Use the Manual update option in the AirTOP software.  For guidance, refer to the manual license update section in: How do I update my AirTOP license file? – SUPPORT

    Note: If this is your first time updating a virtual dongle, you will need to enter your license number and CD Key, which can be found in My Transoft Portal under your licenses.
