What are Subscription License Internet Requirements?

Overview

Transoft Solutions User Subscription Licensing (USL) and Team Subscription Licensing (TSL) represent a new system for managing licenses for Transoft Solutions products.

When using these license types, the Transoft Solutions applications will communicate with an internet-facing licensing server to validate an end user’s claim to a license and to run the application.

The first time the application is launched, it will prompt the end user to login with Transoft Solutions (or Office 365) credentials using a web form to verify their identity.

Subsequent communication from the application to the licensing server occurs via direct communication from the application using REST API requests.

For USL, once the user has successfully signed in and confirmed access to their license, the application will continue to run even if there is no internet connectivity for up to 30 days, at which time the active session will expire and they will be required to authenticate again with the web form.

All communication occurs using the latest available TLS Encryption.

Firewall / Proxy Considerations

Since the software requires access to the Internet, the hosting CAD platform (Autodesk® AutoCAD®, Bentley® MicroStation®, Bricsys® BricsCAD®, etc.) must be able to communicate with the licensing server.

Firewall and Proxy settings must be configured to permit access to these URLs and Ports:

cloud1.transoftsolutions.com, Port 443 (Primary Licensing Server)
cloud2.transoftsolutions.com, Port 443 (Redundant Licensing Server)
cloud3.transoftsolutions.com, Port 443 (Redundant Licensing Server)
cloud4.transoftsolutions.com, Port 443 (Redundant Licensing Server)
