CGS Labs SW RLM licensing is defined on ports 5055 and 5056, which are not used by BricsCAD RLM licensing (ports 5053, 5054). So licensing for both SW can coexist on the same server. Same for any other SW, which uses RLM licensing and is installed on the same server.
Advanced
In case you would need to change CGS Labs RLM licensing ports, here are instructions (example for changing ports 5053/5054 to 5055/5056).
In Services, you can see both services: RLM (BricsCAD) and rlm-cgs (CGS Labs).
-
Change port 5053 on server
- Go to services and stop both services (RLM and rlm-cgs)
- Go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\CGSARLM and open both license files (CGS.lic and serial.lic)
- Change port 5053 to other (5055) in both license files
- Start both services (RLM and rlm-cgs)
-
Change port 5053 on clients
- Go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\CGSARLM
- Change cgs.lic file (change the port number)
Change port 5054 (http://localhost:5054/home.asp)
If you would like to run the web license administration interface on a different port:
- On server go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\CGSARLM
- Uninstall the service (uninstall.exe or uninstall.bat)
-
Edit the install.bat file
- Add “-ws 5056” at the end of the third line and save
- Run the install.bat
- Check if rlm_service is running
