After successful activation, two license files are created in the folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\CGSARLM.
CGS.lic holds information, which packages are licensed and what are the license parameters. Single license doesn't need to include the HOST line.

Serial.lic is similar, but instead of packages, it holds information about the activated serial number.

Every new license activation is added to the existing files.
License files are digitally signed, so no manual change should be done. All the changes have to be performed through License Manager. In case that license file is manually changed, the digital signature is not valid anymore and the license is not valid.
