AutoTURN Feature (Manual Steering) – How does AutoTURN deal with articulating, pitch and roll angles?

The articulating, pitch and roll angles in AutoTURN allows the vehicle to properly articulate in the 3 dimensions.

This information can be obtained from the manufacturer and allows modeling the movement of the vehicle in 3D.

How does AutoTURN Pro deal with these angles during the simulation?

AutoTURN Pro respects these angles during the simulation and does not exceed them. In cases where these angles exceed the limits during the simulation, AutoTURN Pro ends the simulation with a message such as: “maximum roll exceeded”, or “maximum pitch exceeded” or “maximum yaw exceeded”.

What are the conditions for this simulation to take place?

For this simulation to take place, there are conditions for the vehicle and for the terrain:

For the vehicle:

The vehicle should be 3D capable, and should have the option to update the yaw, pitch and roll angles.

For the terrain:

3D simulations must take place on compatible terrains. For more information, please view:
