The Draw with Stick Method command allows you to create a horizontal railway alignment by connecting individual alignment elements in sequence.
You can start drawing from a selected point or continue from an existing horizontal alignment element. The modeless dialog box contains separate tabs for creating lines, arcs, and spirals, allowing you to switch easily between different element types while working in the drawing. Depending on the selected element, you can define its geometry using parameters such as direction, length, endpoint, radius, or the spiral parameter A. Parameters can be entered manually or defined interactively by selecting points and dragging auxiliary elements directly in the drawing.
After each element is created, Ferrovia automatically suggests the most logical type for the next element. Use Back to remove the last element or End to complete the alignment.
The following video demonstrates how to create a railway alignment by connecting line, spiral, and arc elements using the Stick Method.
