Important Notice for AutoCAD or Civil 3D Users: Autodesk .NET Framework Update

Last updated: August 19, 2026

Please read if you are currently using Autodesk ® AutoCAD ® /Civil 3D ® 2025/2026 version

In response to Microsoft ending support for .NET 8.0 in November 2026, Autodesk will be releasing in-place updates to AutoCAD and Civil 3D 2025 and 2026 to migrate from .NET 8.0 to .NET 10.0. Transoft’s products remain compatible with the following Autodesk CAD platforms:

AutoCAD and Civil 3D 2021 – 2027 (64-bit only), with supported versions varying by product

Except:

  • AutoCAD and Civil 3D 2026 update to .NET 10 (to be released in August 2026).
  • AutoCAD and Civil 3D 2025 update to .NET 10 (to be released in September 2026).
  • AutoCAD LT.

We are committed to supporting our customers throughout this transition and helping minimize any impact to their workflows.

Whilst product validation is still ongoing, our initial testing shows that most Transoft products continue to load and operate as expected after applying Autodesk's in-place .NET 10 update to the current AutoCAD and Civil 3D releases.

To avoid any disruption to your workflow, we recommend:

1. Staying on your current AutoCAD or Civil 3D 2025/2026 version without applying the Autodesk in-place update.

2. If you choose to install Autodesk's in-place update and experience issues with any Transoft product, please contact our Technical Support team. In some cases, a product patch or compatibility update may be required. Our team will work with you to identify the issue and provide the appropriate solution as quickly as possible.

3. Updating to AutoCAD or Civil 3D 2027

  • Transoft compatibility updates are rolling out across our product line.
  • See our Product Compatibility page for current details.

Some of our CAD products may continue to load and operate on the new .NET 10 version of AutoCAD and Civil 3D 2025 and 2026 but have not been fully validated, so you must use them at your own discretion.

We're continuing to monitor this transition and may be updating as more information becomes available.
