When you download the installation zip file, extract it and run the Setup.exe file.
Follow the steps in the installation wizard. First, select the option to Set up a workstation.
Then you get the Install option.
Read the note to close all Windows programs before you continue with Next.
Read the License agreement, which you need to agree to, so you can continue with Next.
Select the products that you want to install. For Plateia, Ferrovia, or Aquaterra products, you can only select all of them together. It is recommended to select the Site Design option along with these products.
If not sure, you can leave all the products selected. Continue with Next.
In the next selection option, you will have the option to select the CAD platforms installed on your computer. Supported files for the selected CAD platforms will be installed, and you will be able to use CGS Labs SW on top of them.
It is recommended to select only the CAD platforms, on top of which you will use CGS Labs SW. The number of selected CAD platforms affects the installation speed performance. (You can add new platforms later with a reinstall.)
Continue with Next.
In the last selection option, you will have the option to select the country (language) version you will be using.
It is recommended to select only the country version you will be using. The number of selected country versions affects the installation speed performance.
Continue with Next.
Set the installation folder; we recommend using the default folder. The space requirements are checked.
Continue with Next.
Review the settings in the last step, and go back if you need to change any settings. If everything is OK, continue with Next.
First, the dependencies are installed.
You get the installation progress bar to monitor the installation process.
Once finished, you get a new window, with the options to
- open the instructions document
- and run the CGS Labs Profile Creator, which creates shortcut(s) to run the CGS Labs SW. This is described in a different article. CGS Labs Profile Creator

STEP 1:
Run the installation file as administrator and confirm you want to install it.
First the wizard will extract the files and start the installation process
STEP 2:
The Welcome dialog box opens. Click »Next«.
STEP 3:
The License Agreement dialog box appears. Scroll down and read all the terms of the preceding License Agreement. You have to accept the License Agreement in order to proceed.
STEP 4:
You can choose between Complete and Custom setup type. We recommend using Complete type (continue with step 7). Custom type setup is for advanced users only (continue with step 5).
STEP 5:
Select the products you would like to install. We provide more CGS SW within 1 installation, so you can (have to) choose which one would you like to install. Plateia, Ferrovia, Aquaterra and Electra are installed as 1 product (installation of those products can’t be divided).
STEP 6:
Select the platforms you want to install. All the supported platforms are listed. If you select all, files supporting all platforms will be installed. If you select only certain platforms, only files supporting those platforms will be installed. You have to select at least those platforms you would like to have CGS product installed on.
At least one option has to be selected.
STEP 7:
Select the country-specific versions (with related language) you want to install (multiple choices available). These country-specific versions will be available then to switch between (within the same installation).
At least one option has to be selected.
STEP 8:
Confirm you want to install (or go back to review or change any setting).
Wait for the installation procedure to finish (takes a few minutes).
STEP 9:
After the successfully installed CGS Labs Civil Solutions, click Finish.
