You can create one or multiple profiles at once, create profiles for older CGS Labs versions, and delete CGS profiles.
After the installation process, the Profile Creator window automatically opens. You can open the Profile Creator anytime, as the CGS Labs Profile Creator will be installed on your computer as an application. You can find it in the StartUp menu, or directly in folder:
- version 2027.0: C:\Program Files\Transoft Solutions\CGSA 2027\COMMON\PlatformIndependent
- version 2026.1 or earlier: C:\Program Files\CGSA\CGSA 2026\COMMON\PlatformIndependent
In order to create a new profile, CAD platforms need to be open at least once before you run CGS Labs Profile Creator, for CGS Profile Creator to recognize them.
- Profile name is pre-defined, you can edit it
- Select the default language
- Select the CAD platform, on which you would like to create a profile
- Select an existing profile, based on which new profile will be created
- Click Create profile
After profile creation is finished, you receive this message:
When we select Advance option, we can delete (Edit icon) or create (Create icon) multiple CGS profiles (on different CAD platforms);
You can choose which CGS profiles to create (here you can create also CGS profiles from our older versions);
Note: if you want to create a new profile in the advanced tab, it is important to select an unnamed profile, default, or C3D_metric so you do not overwrite an existing profile.
If you have different versions of CGS platforms, you can create separate profiles for each one. Make sure the CGS version is compatible with the respective CAD version or otherwise, they will not work.
You can choose which CGS profiles to delete in the Edit existing CGS profiles tab:
We recommend not creating CGS Labs profiles based on older versions of CGS Labs profiles.
An icon (with a defined name) is created on the desktop and in the Start menu.
