Autosign Vertical Signs - Multiple traffic signs on one post and also how to create double-sided traffic signs

Multiple traffic signs on one post

In CGS Labs Autosign you can add more traffic sings on one post.

Follow the steps;

1. Create any traffic sign of your choosing (command 55C1)
2. Click Edit icon from ribbons (or use command 55H1)
3. Use + and X icons for adding and removing traffic signs. You can also add the ones that are already in your drawing (cursor+box icon)

You can change the order (position) of traffic signs in Sing Manager by selecting one and then moving it up or down with arrow icons.

Please notice that double-sided signs would be partly visible in 2D. For total visibility, you can create 3D face or TIN surface (with CAD software) or DTM (digital terrain model from points) and draw 3D Traffic Signs on this face/terrain (or use command 55J1).

Article for creating DTM; Insert points & create DTM and Surface or DTM

1.  Click on the icon, to draw 3D Signs and Markings.

2.  3D view dialogue box opens. Select a surface/DTM/3D face from the drop-down menu.

Multiple traffic signs on one post (double-sided)

If you want to have/create double-sided traffic signs then an additional step for doings this would be using one more adjustment which is Rotation. Autosign uses Rotation in radians (not degrees) so you would write 3,14 radians to rotate one or many traffic signs on the opposite side of an existing traffic post (180 degrees).

How to create double-sided traffic signs (follow these steps);

1. Create a sign like you would
2. Click Edit icon from ribbons (or use command 55H1)
3. Use + and X icons for adding and removing signs
4.  Change rotation number on one or many traffic signs you have just added to existing post

This option would give you a double-sided traffic sign, one above the other.

If you want your traffic signs to be on the same height, you will need to use CAD commands;

  1. Use EXPLODE command on your 3D traffic sign,
  2. with command PRESSPULL shorten the traffic sign post,
  3. use command MOVE and move the second traffic signs to the same height as at post.
