A new road alignment definition can quickly be created in Plateia for road reconstruction, 3D modeling, and more.
Let’s show you how:
1. Import the point cloud into CAD and manually vectorize the existing road edges (Civil 3D, BricCAD, InfraWorks, etc.).
2. Create a best-fit alignment that follows the defined road edge polylines and edit it.
3. Move the polylines to the correct layers to use them as lane definitions for Profile View and Cross Sections.
