KeyACCIDENT Reports: ReportOverrides folder for customised reports

Issue

I need to set up a ReportOverrides folder so that I can use customised reports more easily

Solution

KeyACCIDENT now uses a ReportOverrides folder

Report templates can be copied into this folder and amended without needing IT admin rights

You will need to manually create a folder, named exactly as ReportOverrides

Create the folder at:

C:\Users\ [username] \AppData\Roaming\Transoft Solutions\KeyACCIDENT\ReportOverrides

Note: this Report Overrides folder is version-free so needs to be alongside main version folders

This means your customised reports will persist when you upgrade your KeyACCIDENT version unless there are changes to the STATS19 data format

If you have amended a Crystal Reports report template, save it in the ReportOverrides folder without changing the template name

When producing reports, KeyACCIDENT checks in this folder first and will use any report in there rather than the saved file

This means the Report Selector will use your report when selecting from the list of standard reports

Monochrome reports option

If you want to keep both a colour and a monochrome report option, create a subfolder called Monochrome and save it within the Report Overrides folder

C:\Users\ [username] \AppData\Roaming\Transoft Solutions\KeyACCIDENT\ReportOverrides\Monochrome

Save your customised colour report in the ReportOverrides folder

Save your customised monochrome report version in the Monchrome folder
