I wish to add a light to the top of my assembly, is this included in the wind load?

Solution

Light units are not included in the wind load as they don’t add significantly to the overall wind load on the posts and foundation. If you wish to extend the post so that the light unit can be added, so that the increased post length is correctly indicated in the report, tick the box in the AutoPost dialog indicating you wish to include post top lighting. You can also change this property of any post in your design, as well as the overall post length.
