KeyACCIDENT Migration: Identifying failed batches or missing records

To confirm 100% migration is achieved, please do the following:

 

1. Before migration

In your current KeyACCIDENT version 7, go to Accident Data > Accident Totals

Make a copy of the Accident Totals (Accident, vehicle, and casualty records)

 

2. After migration

In KeyACCIDENT 2025, go to Collision Data > Collision Totals

The totals here should match your version 7 database: Collision Totals (Collision, vehicle, and casualty records)

If the totals match, you have successfully migrated 100% of your records

If the totals do not match, make a copy and follow guidance in the next section

 

Missing records or batches

 

Although tested with millions of records (that’s not an exaggeration), in rare cases  records may fail to migrate. This will happen in one of two ways:

  • Individual records are isolated (Create New option only)
  • Batches of 200 are isolated – the difference between before and after is a multiple of 200 (In-Place option only)

If you have some records missing from the totals after migration:

 

Send the zipped records and the error log:

  • The zip of missed records or broken batches is encrypted and can be found at:

%APPDATA%\Transoft Solutions\KeyACCIDENT\Migration\Failed Migrations

or C:\Users\ [username] \AppData\Roaming\Transoft Solutions\KeyACCIDENT\Migration\Failed Migrations

  • The v2025 error log

%APPDATA%\Transoft Solutions\KeyACCIDENT\25.0

or C:\Users\[username] \AppData\Roaming\Transoft Solutions\KeyACCIDENT\25.0
