KeyACCIDENT Data: Sending data for technical support

Issue

I need to send data to Transoft Solutions for technical support. What do I need to do?

 

Solution

You do not need to open a compressed (.zip) file to send it for technical support.

Please ensure the following:

  • GDPR – the data file needs personal and sensitive information removing before you send it
  • Security – use the default export file encryption when creating your KAML file

 

1. GDPR

  • Search for the data you need to send and click Export
  • Select KeyACCIDENT Export File (KAML)
  • In the Export dialog box, make sure the two boxes below are ticked:

This will remove fields like sex, postcodes, most severe injury, text description and location description

You can hover the cursor over the information icon for more details

 

2. Security

When saving your export file, make sure the file type is KeyACCIDENT Encrypted XML (*.kaml)

Encrypted is the default setting

Your saved KAML file is then ready to send

 

3. Other information likely to help

    • The error log (keyacc-error.log) found at: %AppData%\Transoft Solutions\KeyACCIDENT\25.0
    • Your KeyACCIDENT version number
    • Your AutoCAD version, if used
    • Details of how you are trying to use KeyACCIDENT when an error occurs
    • Is it affecting other users or just your version of KeyACCIDENT?
    • Does it happen every time you carry out the same steps?
