KeyACCIDENT Data: Exporting STATS19 data to a new database

Issue

Exporting data from existing KeyACCIDENT database to a new KeyACCIDENT database

 

Solution

1. Use the Search Wizard to search for the data to be exported

2. Select the Export option

3. Export to format KAML/KAMZ and save as KAMZ file

4. Create a new database

     i.   Tools > Change Database > Create New Database

     ii.   Specify SQL or Azure

     

Next

     iii.   Specify server name, new database name, add SA username and password

       Click Create Database

     iv.   New database is created > OK

     v.   Set police force area > OK

     vi.   Select new database from dropdown list of available databases

5. Connect to the newly created database > Test > Change Database

     

6. New database connection is confirmed on the KeyACCIDENT status bar (lower left corner)

Remember to switch the GIS (AutoCAD) module to the same database if required

KeyACCIDENT Tools > Change database

7. Add new records

Collision Data > Add New Records

8. Import Formats >  KAML/KAMZ > select saved KAMZ file > Process

9. Your data is now transferred to your new database

10. Confirm the data count with Collision Data > Collision Totals
