If you are running an older version of AirTOP (version 2.3 or earlier), you will need to use CodeMeter to generate your context file for update.
NOTE: you must create a new context file each time you wish to renew the dongle. Sending a previously generated context file will not work.
Create the context file
- Start the CodeMeter Control Center on the machine to which the USB dongle is connected
- On Windows, CodeMeter Control Center can be found in the Start Menu->CodeMeter folder or in your system tray, notification area.
- On Mac, CodeMeter Control Center is in the "Applications" folder
- Click on the License Update button:
- Select Create license request, then click Next
- Select Extend existing license, then click Next
- Ensure producer is Airtopsoft(102226), then click Next
- Choose a location to save the context file and then click Commit
NOTE: there is no need to rename the file. - Send the .WibuCmRac file to support@transoftsolutions.com
Import the updated dongle file
Once you have received the updated dongle license file from Transoft Solutions support, you will need to import it to the dongle.
- Click on the License Update button
- Select Import license update, then click Next
- Select the license update file that was sent to you (file ending with .WibuCmRau)
- Click Commit.
- Copy the airtop_license.lic file that was sent to you into your release directory
- Verify the dongle date.
Verify your dongle expiry date
After the procedure to update the renewable date has been followed, it is important to check the
date(s). The date is stored in the airtop_license.lic file, and on the dongle. The date in the file
is just an indication which is shown when AirTOP is starting (in the console).
It may happen that an error occurs with the date on the dongle, despite having the console showing
the right date (from the file). This might be due to an error in the updating procedure, e.g. only the
license file is replaced, but the dongle has not been updated.
To check the dongle:
- Open the WebAdmin, by:
- Browsing to http://localhost:22352 using a web browser, or
- Start it from Codemeter.
- Navigate to Container and select the relevant dongle (the number corresponds to the number on the dongle):
- Check the Valid Until date - this should be a date in the future (the next renewable date):
