AutoTURN Feature (Suspension) - How is vehicle suspension simulated in AutoTURN?

Category: Suspension

Topic: Vehicle suspension

Answer: AutoTURN uses a simplified approach to emulate suspension behavior, allowing the individual wheels of a vehicle to travel up/down a set distance and then subsequently ‘smoothing out’ the orientation of the vehicle body so that all-wheel contact with the terrain is maintained as best as possible. Although this mimics suspension travel in the real world (which employs springs), the model behavior is non-dynamic and the travel is applied instantaneously (a spring rate-of-return is not used).
