Upgrading a Network Installation (for product versions 2024 and after)

Before you begin:

  • Make sure you have Administrator access on the server and workstations that you will be installing to.
  • Make sure the current license is Authorized and that you have a valid MAP
  • During install, you will not be prompted for your license number or CD Key and authorization will not be required.
  • During the server upgrade, your existing license will be replaced by a new version license that will be used to facilitate license requests from the old and new product versions.
  • Please note that our products with version 2024 (or later) are installed side-by-side with the older versions, meaning that older version is not going to be removed when new version is installed, and you can continue using the old version for ongoing projects or uninstall it if it is no longer needed.

Installation instructions:

Server Installation

  1. Download the zipped install file to the server where you have the current license Authorized.
  2. Right click on the zip file, select Extract All and extract the file.
  3. Login to the server with an account that allows administrator permissions.
  4. Run the Setup.exe file.
  5. Select the Set up a Server option and click on Install.
  6. Follow the onscreen prompts to complete the upgrade process.

  8. Confirm Host (license server name or IP address) and Port (default is 27099), then select Transoft Solutions product to administrate. You will be able to see that you have the new version (authorized as a Perpetual license).

Workstation Installation

  1. Login to the workstation with an account that allows administrator permissions.
  2. Browse to the product shared Workstation Installers folder on the network server.
  3. Run the file SetupWorkstation.exe.
  4. You will be presented with a screen to confirm the existing installation location.
  5. Follow the remaining onscreen prompts to complete the installation process.
  6. Load a session of the installed product in CAD program.
  7. Repeat steps 1 – 6 on each workstation where product is to be installed.

Note: Optionally, you can install product on workstations using the SetupWorkstationSilent.exe or SetupWorkstationSilent.MSI installer, which are generated during the server installation. These options are described in the Readme.txt, which is part of the downloaded zip file.
