Issue
Data imports from CRASH will not import into KeyACCIDENT.
Background
We understand that the Oct 2023 release of CRASH v10.0 has introduced a non-compliant code within the STATS19 2011 format data. A code ‘9’ is being added to field 1.20a “Pedestrian Crossing - Human Control”, presumably meaning “unknown”. Code ‘9’ doesn’t exist in the STATS19 2011 data set or in the new STATS19 2024 data set. The presence of this code prevents import of all records within the import file.
We are making changes so future KeyACCIDENT versions will be even more flexible with handling such data anomalies.
Solution
We have produced a ‘hot fix’ replacement file that will replace this field with a blank at import.
This fix requires only replacement of the file KA_Core.dll, supplied with these help notes.
IT admin rights will be needed.
NOTE: this hot fix will not enable KeyACCIDENT to import the new STATS19 2024 data set. A KeyACCIDENT version is being developed for that and is expected to be released during 2024 Q1.
Version 7.13
1. Close any opened KeyACCIDENT modules
2. On each device used to import new records, open file path
C:\Program Files\Transoft Solutions\KeyACCIDENT\7.13
3. Rename existing file KA_Core.dll to KA_Core_OLD.dll
4. Add the file KA_Core.dll from this download link to this folder
KeyACCIDENT v7.13 is now ready to use CRASH data with known STATS19 non-conformities will import without prior adjustments
Version 7.12
1. Close any opened KeyACCIDENT modules
