KeyACCIDENT: Renewing the KeyOSC Mapper menu

These steps require no IT admin rights

 

Preparation: Copying the Universal API Key (this gives you access to the OS DataHub mapping)

This API key should be retained, so the following 3 steps are precautionary only

1. On the KeyOSC Mapper ribbon, click the OS Hub Options icon

2. On the Connection Details tab, highlight and copy the Universal API Key

Paste this API key into a blank Word/Notepad file for later use,

or use Windows + V to recall it (same day only)

3. Close the OSDataHub Configuration dialogue

 

Unloading and reloading the KeyOSC Mapper ribbon

1. Open the KeyACCIDENT GIS module (AutoCAD). In the command bar, type and enter MENULOAD

2. Select KOS_MAPPER and click Unload

3. Close the Load/Unload Customizations dialogue

4. In the Command bar, type and enter OPTIONS

5. In the Files tab, expand the Support File Search Path folder by clicking on the small +

6. Scroll down and find the paths relating to KeyOSC Mapper

7. Select them one at a time and click Remove for each of them

ONLY remove these KeyOSC Mapper paths

8. Click OK

9. In the Command bar, type and enter KEYOSCMENU

This reloads the KeyOSC Mapper ribbon in ‘Classic’ mode

Follow steps 10 – 11 to switch to OS Data Hub mode

 

Switching back to OS DataHub mode

10. At the far end of the KeyOSC Mapper ribbon, click this icon to switch the Mapper mode

11. Select the OSDataHub icon and click Continue

 

Check that the Universal API Key is present

 

The API key should have been retained by KeyOSC Mapper

If the API key is present, the KeyOSC Mapper ribbon reload is complete

 

Refer to preparation steps 1-3 on the following page if the API key is missing

 

Restoring the Universal API Key

1. On the KeyOSC Mapper ribbon, click the OS Hub Options icon

2. On the Connection Details tab, copy the Universal API Key from your Word or Notepad file

Paste it into the Universal Key field

Click Save

3. Close the OSDataHub Configuration dialogue

 

The KeyOSC Mapper ribbon reload is complete
