KeyACCIDENT: Transferring records from Data Entry v7 into KeyACCIDENT 2025

Issue

KeyACCIDENT Data Entry creates new records in STATS19 2011 format and I need to import them into KeyACCIDENT 2025, which supports the STATS19 2024 format

Solution

This cannot be done directly until a version of KeyACCIDENT Data Entry is released to support direct entry into a STATS19 2024 format database. A KeyACCIDENT Data Entry version that supports the STATS19 2024 format will be released soon.

In the interim, records can be transferred as follows:

  1. Enter records as usual in Data Entry v7
  2. Transfer your entered records to your v7 ‘live’ database as usual (a separate database may make this easier)
  3. Search for these transferred records using a relevant date range
  4. Export the search results into the v7 KAML/KAMZ format
  5. Import the KAMZ file into KeyACCIDENT 2025

Note: At import, if you leave the Overwrite existing records box unchecked, you’ll automatically avoid records that have already been transferred but are picked up within your search date range.

KeyACCIDENT 2025 will convert the 2011 format KAMZ file created by KeyACCIDENT version 7 into 2024 format with the settings you created with the Migration Wizard.

It will not include all fields, such as 2.23b drug test, vehicle propulsion, vehicle age and 3.21 admitted to hospital. These values can be added manually in KeyACCIDENT 2025 using the edit mode.
