Registry locations for the ServerName key used for Key Software products to obtain a licence

By default, the Transoft license manager is looking locally at Localhost and port 27099

The server can be set if required to a network location on install when prompted: -blobid0.png
After install:-

The server can then be set to a network server by using the LicenceSetupUtility.exe in this location.

“C:\Program Files\Common Files\Transoft Solutions\Licensing”

Note: -
If run as user these setting will be saved to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Transoft Solutions
If run as local admin these setting will be saved to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Transoft Solutions

 

You can set all licenses to be

  1. localhost or
  2. all to be network or
  3. You can individually select the license for a mix of local or network

Alternatively, these can be manually set in the registry keys as below: -

Transoft Branded software for example:-

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE \KeySCAPE RT\1.4

above set to Localhost

Or below set to a network server

 

For the earlier Keysoft Branded software for a network example below


HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Keysoft Solutions\KeyACCIDENT\7.8

 

If you are using all older Keysoft branded software, you can set globally all the licences to be obtained from the server: -

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Keysoft Solutions\KSSEMS
